Two people trapped in cars after Kenilworth crash

Fire crews rushed out to a crash scene in Kenilworth to rescue two people left trapped in their cars.

The two cars collided along Birmingham Road at around 12.30pm on Sunday.

The extent of the injuries is currently unknown, but one car left the road, and one person is reported to be trapped in each vehicle.

Fire crews from Kenilworth and Leamington arrived at the scene, along with police and paramedics.

A Warwickshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said at the time of the crash: “One casualty was trapped in each vehicle.

“Crews are currently still in attendance and are dealing with the incident using cutting equipment and hose reels.

“They expect to be detained for approximately 45 minutes.”

Road closures are in place from Chase Farm.
