Tributes left at scene of attack in Leamington which led to victim's death

Tributes have been left near the scene of where a man was killed as the result of an assault in Leamington in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The incident happened in Russell Street and flowers and messages of good will, condolence and sympathy have been left for the victim and his family.

An altercation is thought to have broken out outside the entrance to Moo Bar in Russell Street at about 1am.

Shortly after, a man in his 20s who was thought to be from Rugby, was assaulted and sustained serious head injuries.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance but later died as a result of his injuries.

Two 30-year-old men from Birmingham were arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently in police custody.

Warwickshire Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have any information.
