Detectives in Leamington are appealing for information after a man suffered injuries during a robbery on Avenue Road shortly before 1am on Sunday (March 26).
The victim, a man in his 50s, was walking home from the town centre when, at around 12.50am, he was attacked by a group of men who stole his wallet before running from the area.
It is believed that the attack stopped after a member of public intervened.
The victim suffered cuts and bruising to his face as a result of the robbery.
Three men, aged 18, 18, and 22, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery in connection to the incident.
They are currently on police bail until April 27 whilst enquiries are ongoing.
It is thought that there may be further witnesses to the crime that have not yet spoken to the police and they are encouraging anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to contact them
