Talented Taiwanese duo hit the right notes
A percussion duo from Taiwan have been awarded the eighth Leamington Music Prize.
Yu-Cheng Chen and Shih-Han Lee were announced as winners by Leamington Music’s festival director, Richard Phillips, at the end of an evening of fierce competition when four finalists performed to the jury in the Birmingham Conservatoire Recital Hall.
Both students are now studying at the Birmingham Conservatoire.
The Leamington Music Prize is made up of a cheque and a performance opportunity, which this year will be a concert on Tuesday, October 18, in the Royal Spa Centre Studio, Leamington.
