Budding fundraisers are making their money grow with a community raffle to help victims of the Nepal earthquakes.

Kenilworth School pupils Daisy Mae Bramwell and Alexia Carrasco Carrillo were given £1 to ‘make grow’ in a charity challenge.

The friends, aged 12, have already seen success after calling on town businesses for help and getting a “fantastic response” including 18 donations which will allow them to launch a community raffle.

“The generosity from the shops genuinely surprised us,” they said in a bid to drum up more support for the prize draw.

Tickets can be bought at the school office, Kenilworth Sweet Shop in Warwick Road and Simply Fresh in Whitemoor Road.

A draw will be held on Friday June 19.
