Yellow weather warning in place for Warwickshire and flood alert for Marton as Storm Christoph is set to bring more heavy downpours across the UK

Flood warnings are currently in place across the country, with Storm Christoph forecast to bring further torrential downpours to the country over the next few days.

These are the flood warnings currently in place for England, which mean “flooding is expected - immediate action required”.

North Bank Road alongside the River Nene, east of Peterborough and west of Dog-in-a-Doublet Sluice

River Derwent at Buttercrambe Mill

River Ouse at Naburn Lock

River Ouse at York - riverside properties

River Severn at Marton

River Witham and associated Fens from Chapel Hill to Boston

River Witham and associated Fens from Washingborough to Metheringham

River Witham and associated Fens from Woodhall Spa to Chapel Hill

Wood Brook and River Soar at Loughborough to the north of Derby Road

Some of these warnings are in place due to high levels of water due to previous rainfalls, with Storm Christoph to bring further downpours this week.

According to Gov.uk, this level of flood warning means there are certain steps you need to take in order to prepare, which are:

turn off gas, water and electricity

move things upstairs or to safety

move family, pets and car to safety
