Warwick Rotary Club supports Myton Hospices with much-needed cash boost
Myton Hospices have had a difficult year with the Covid-19 pandemic affecting services they were able to provide
The Warwick Rotary Club has helped to support the Myton Hospices with some much-needed funds.
Warwick Rotary President David Brain has finally been able to present Myton Hospices with a cheque for £2,000 raised from the Christmas Lights of Love appeal.
The money was raised from the Lights of Love donations for cards on the Christmas tree in Market Place.
The proceeds are usually shared between the club and the Mayors charities, but Cllr Terry Morris directed that his share should also go to Myton this year.
Myton Hospices have had a difficult year with the Covid-19 pandemic affecting services they were able to provide at Myton.
Now getting back to normal they need £7.8 million each year to support their in-patient service, as well as support to out- patients on a day care basis, and in their own homes across Coventry and Warwickshire.
Myton Hospices have a wide programme of fundraising events taking place over the next few months ; from their annual cycle challenge to a Virtual Walk for Myton.
Their charity shops are also re-opening and they would ask everyone to take a look at their website www.mytonhospice.org and see how they can help.
