The event is open to the whole community, not just Coten End children, and the money raised will go to Coten End Primary School to help fund resources to enhance children’s play and learning.

With the help of a trail map families need to solve the clues to find out the location of each dragon egg and work out what the dragon's favourite food is.

At the end of the trail there will be a chocolate Easter egg prize to collect. There will also be the option of an allergen alternative prize which must be selected when purchasing tickets.

All the dragon’s eggs have been creatively designed by Coten End children.

The winning eggs are being made into large vinyl eggs and will be displayed in a selection of shops and landmarks around Warwick town centre with all entries also being displayed in the window of Coffee#1.

Sarah Sheepy, Headteacher of Coten End Primary School, said: "I am incredibly proud of our Friends committee who work tirelessly to put on events to raise funds for school in these difficult times.

"The added bonus of this event is that it is not just for our children but those in our wider community. I’m sure all those who take part will thoroughly their Dragon Egg hunt."

"The response from the local businesses we have approached to work with us has been incredible, not only supporting us by displaying the vinyl eggs but also helping to promote our event to their customers.

"We very much hope it will be a huge success and all the families who take part enjoy tracking down the lost eggs.”

Lydia Ward, Chair of Friends of Coten End Primary School, added: “Friends of Coten End Primary School is a small group of dedicated parents who, like all other primary and secondary schools nationwide have not been able to run their previous fundraising events due to lockdown and covid restrictions this academic year.

"However, at Coten End we have not let that deter us as we believe that now more than ever that the children at our school, and other local families need community events to take part in.

"We wanted to find an idea that could really make the most of the Easter holiday break and improving spring weather.

"Our Dragon Egg hunt around Warwick is available to anyone to take part in, not just Coten End Primary School children and their families, and we know it will provide local families with a cheap and interactive family day out around Warwick looking for dragon egg clues with an Easter egg prize at the end.

"We wish you all lots of luck finding the eggs and making fun Easter Holiday memories together”.
