Julie Earls of Appoint Us Services said: "We had a client in hospital pre-covid and whilst visiting him were made aware staff had to buy their own tea, coffee and so in January 2020 as part of our CIC ethos of giving back to the community, we made up hampers of tea, coffee, cappuccinos, lattes, cup a soup, pasta, biscuits, snacks and treats, hand cream for the staff on every ward at Warwick hospital.

"In addition, gift packs for all people attending the Aylesford Unit as patients, that included hats, hand creams, lip balms, books, pens and sweets.

"Our intention had been to move on to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW), George Eliot Hospital and Rugby Saint Cross but Covid came and everyone in the country wanted to donate to the NHS so our project went on hold.

"Now 12 months on we recognised staff are working probably even harder and have seemingly been forgotten and so we put together similar hampers for all the wards at George Elliot, the Covid and additional wards at UHCW and the Covid Wards at Warwick, just as a thank you and a mark of appreciation for all they have done and continue to do.

"We also donated hampers to other community projects."

The company made up the hampers and they were donated over the past month. The hampers included things such as tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, soup, pasta meals, sweets and hand cream.

Julie added: "It was a pleasure to make up and deliver these hampers to the hardworking NHS staff and to show them some appreciation and make a difference to them.

"Appoint Us is a local and established local Community Interest Company which prides itself on giving back to the community in addition to offering one to one support and therapeutically based services to the communities of Coventry and Warwickshire.
