Leamington musician who made music videos in Barbados before catching 'last flight back to UK' has started teaching online during lockdown

A Leamington musician recorded two music videos in Barbados before having to catch the last remaining flight home to the UK before lockdown and travel restrictions kicked in because of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Matt Bate had also been performing live shows on the Caribbean Island when the pandemic struck and he said he and his fiance Danielle New were lucky to get the last remaining flight back to the UK.

When he arrived back in the UK he said driving home from London to Leamington was like "travelling through a ghost town".

He has since been keeping himself busy during lockdown teaching others to be able to follow in his footsteps.

Matt said: "Since returning to the UK with gatherings stopped and venues closed I have had to innovate my business and fast.

" I turned my live music business into an online singing and guitar tuition business harnessing the powers of social media & video conferencing.

I'm now teaching children aged from 8 and above to professional musicians how to enhance their skills or learn to play the guitar and sing.
