A Leamington woman who walked 100km with her dog to raise money for Dementia UK in memory of her beloved grandfather took a couple of extra canine companions on the last legs of the lockdown challenge.

Jindy Sangha walked most of the distance around the parks and green spaces of her home town and London, where she currently lives, with just her dog Aika the American Akita.

But when covering the final legs of the distance she also took her neighbour's dog Atlanta, an XL bully puppy, and Jessie, a Cane Corso/Bull Mastiff cross rescue dog, along with her.

Jindy took part in the challenge in memory of her grandfather Sarban Singh Sangha, who suffered from dementia and died in 2005.

She said: "Without Jessie and Atlanta, Aika wouldn’t have been able to have so much fun on our walks and without all of them and I wouldn’t have had the motivation to walk 100k.

"I am beyond ecstatic and so proud of what we have all achieved.

"I hope my grandpa is watching from above and proud of us all too."
