Kenilworth brothers tackle charity challenge in honour of Captain Sir Tom Moore

Two brothers from Kenilworth recently tackled a charity challenge in honour of the late Captain Sir Tom Moore

Over the bank holiday Ishan Carson, aged 12, and Nimal Carson, aged 10, ran 100 times up Park Hill, which is 350m each way.

The pair, who are also members of Leamington cycling and athletics club, said they were inspired to take on a challenge by the late Captain Sir Tom Moore so decided to take on their own challenge.

Ishan and Nimal decided to use their challenge to help raise money for the homeless charity Streetlink.

So far they have raised more than £700.

When asked how they found the challenge they said that they found it tough to keep going through the final few hills in the pouring rain but were cheered on by passing local residents.

Ishan and Nimal said they would like to thank the people of Kenilworth for stopping to put money in their big orange collection bucket, and for the support of neighbours and members of Kenilworth Runners who ran some reps with them, to keep them going right to the end.
