The Kenilworth and Warwick Primary Care Network (PCN) has relocated its Covid vaccination programme.

The Network, comprising of Abbey Medical Centre, Castle Medical Centre, Chase Meadow Health Centre, Priory Medical Centre and Avonside Health Centre, was the first mass vaccination site in south Warwickshire to begin vaccinating patients against Covid-19 in December 2020.

It based the programme at The Warwickshire Golf Club in Leek Wootton.

However with the easing of lockdown the PCN has relocated the site to The Ramada Hotel at Chesford Bridge between Kenilworth and Leamington to allow The Warwickshire Golf Club to resume its regular activities.

Ryan Smith, manager of the Kenilworth and Warwick PCN and business partner at Abbey Medical Centre, said: “The Covid vaccination programme has been a huge success, and so far we have vaccinated over 36,000 patients.

"It is testament to the hard work of all our practice staff and local volunteer team who have enabled the success of the programme and contributed to Coventry and Warwickshire being the top in the country for delivering Covid vaccinations.

“By relocating to The Ramada Hotel, we have also been able to keep our drive-through option available.

"Currently we are the only site to offer this option which has been hugely beneficial to patients who may be less mobile or shielding, but is also available to everyone with an appointment.

"The PCN have texted all patients over the age of 40 to invite them for vaccination.

“Our teams are also phoning patients who do not have a mobile number to book in, but we would encourage all patients to make sure their contact details are up to date so they can be reached quickly."
