Here's how you can see an art exhibition put together for Kenilworth residents by Kenilworth artists
Artists from Kenilworth have joined together to create an exhibition for residents in the town.
The exhibition, which will feature work from 16 artists, has been organised with the help of Nicola Bagga, who is also one of the artists.

Nicola said: "It all came about after Louise Hanson, the founder of Kenilworth vibes Facebook page posted a photograph back in September of a view of Kenilworth Castle from the fields. Louise commissioned a local artist to paint it.
"The photograph generated a lot of conversation from other local artists and I suggested it would be a great idea for everyone to attempt it and interpret in their style.
"I offered to organise an exhibition and prompted the artists to submit their entries.

"At first the idea was to hold the exhibition at the Old Bakery on the High Street however this was not possible due to circulation, and social distancing, despite their best efforts to help.
"Having been involved in a number of things through the summer with Kenilworth arts festival, I approached them to see whether we could use one of the empty shopfronts as they have been doing for a number of months.
"The works will be visible through the window to passers-by and will be available for sale."

Nicola added: "Ultimately, the exhibition has been put together for the people of Kenilworth by the artists of Kenilworth and surrounding towns, featuring one of the towns most beautiful vistas during a period of time where we have really come together as a community.
"We’re immensely proud of what we have produced and hope that the exhibition inspires the next generation of artists to look around them and take pleasure in their surroundings."
Nicola believes exhibitions like this are important - especially during another lockdown.

"All of these artworks have been done as a response to this year‘s lockdown and are based on photograph from someone’s walk around the town during this period.
"Not only are these responses the artists way of capturing this moment in time and every think that the town has been through, there is something very timeless about the subject matter.
"No matter what Kenilworth has been through or is currently going through, the castle has been there through all of it.

"It’s amazing to see how everyone has tried to shop small and local this year to support at the towns local businesses but this spreads further than what you can see on the High Street.
"For Many of the local artists, their work is their income.
"Even if you can’t afford to purchase a piece of work, sharing the event and the artwork on social media and with friends makes a huge difference."
Contact details for each artist will be displayed in the window next to the individual pieces.
