Eleven of the enthusiastic group’s 28 members are each displaying 12 images including tiny insects, fungi, flowers and large mammals from Britain and overseas.

When circumstances permit, this get-up-and-go group takes a monthly trip to photograph the natural world.

Group Co-ordinator, Mike Calvert, explains: “In addition we would normally take a three-day trip in May or June.

"Over recent years we have been to Northumbria, including the Farne Islands, and Preston to visit the area’s RSPB and WWT reserves.

"We also visit RSPB reserves in Norfolk but early starts and plenty of walking with camera kit mean our trips are not for slouches! But the results and camaraderie, make it all worthwhile.”
