Myton School sixth former Olivia Ray has abseiled down a building that is taller than Big Ben to raise funds for charity.
The 17-year-old from Warwick made her way down the Lift Tower at the National Abseil Centre in Northampton - which is more than 400ft high - and has raised more than £300 for the Warwickshire Association of Youth Clubs (WAYC).
Olivia is part of a group of sixth formers who have completed a range of fundraising challenges, including a sky dive and the Wolf Run.
WAYC fundraiser David Skoppek said: “We are so very grateful for all the hard work by Olivia and her fellow students. The total amount raised so far by Myton students is over £3,900, which is just incredible.”
Head of Myton’s sixth form Dr Jenny Hunt said: “What a star Livi is. We are so proud of our students to say the least. They are a wonderful example to their peers of just what you can do if you put your mind to it.”
WAYC supports youth groups and organisations, individual young people and young people in education. To find out more, visit www.wayc.org.uk
