Participants will be given £50, which they will have 50 days to turn into as much money as they can for Myton, which has three hospices in Warwick, Rugby and Coventry.

The challenge will be launched at the Warwick hospice on April 5, where businesses which have signed up can discuss ideas with past and present teams. Food will be provided by the Blackdown conference centre Woodland Grange, which will host an awards ceremony at the end of the challenge in May to recognise participating firms’ fundraising efforts.

To maximise each team’s chances of raising as much as they can, teams are invited to take part in ‘Jail Break’ - where teams have to travel as far as possible within 24 hours without buying any tickets or fares, with the money raised by sponsorship being added to the Take 50 total. Last year’s winners, the Leamington-based Denfield Advertising, made it all the way to Cyprus.

Myton’s corporate fundraising development manager Hannah Morris said: “This is the sixth year we have hosted the Take 50 challenge and so far, thanks to the incredible support from local businesses, Take 50 has raised £157,000 for Myton. We are now looking for new teams to take on those who have previously taken part.”
