Milverton pupils and staff yomp for playground fundraising
Pupils and staff at Milverton School put in a heroic effort to raise funds for a new playground this week.
They took part in a sponsored yomp - the military term for energetic walking or marching- at the playing field next to the Maltings in Leamington and dressed up as various superheroes and villains.
Having raised thousands over a number of years to kick-start the project, the PTA is now fundraising for play equipment to help create the children’s vision of a perfect playground.
Work started on the redevelopment of the school grounds last August.
