A brave 13-year-old has had the chop for charity after deciding to wave goodbye to her flowing locks for a good cause.

Lucy Grace Woodward donated nine inches of her hair to help improve the lives of children undergoing cancer treatments across the UK.

The Kenilworth School pupil decided to bring out the scissors to raise funds for the Little Princess Trust last year.

After growing her locks for eight months, Lucy’s hair was finally chopped this month.

The lengthy donation will join others to the charity which makes wigs for
children who have lost their hair during chemotherapy treatments.

Lucy and her family, who live in Arthur Street, have thanked Shaun Patrick, stylist at Toni & Guy in Coventry, who carried out a restyle after the cut.
