A Kenilworth pub which closed last year has reopened following a four-week refurbishment.
The Royal Oak pub in New Street had closed in September 2015 despite being named as Coventry and District’s best pub in 2014 by the Campaign for Real Ale.
But the pub was able to reopen after parent company Punch Taverns made a £150,000 investment into refurbishing it.
New landlord Aaron Smith said: “We’re committed to restoring it to its rightful place at the heart of the community.
“Thanks to the investment from Punch and the support it has provided us with, we have a pub to be proud of.”
The town mayor Cllr Michael Coker attended the reopening last week.
