Road closures around the university have been postponed for two weeks because of the horse fair heading to Kenilworth this weekend.
Coventry City Council planned the closure of the Kenilworth Road, Stoneleigh Road and Gibbet Hill Road junction as part of ongoing road works around the University of Warwick.
But with traffic disruption expected with the April horse fair, the closure will instead take place from 8pm on May 8.
The road will reopen to all traffic on May 11 at 6am.
Should the resurfacing work not be completed within these times, overnight closures will also take place on May 11 and 12 between 8pm and 6am.
Signs will be placed at the junction to warn drivers of the change this week.
