A Brownie leader from Kenilworth was treated to a surprise award ceremony from her pack honouring her 20 years of voluntary service.

Natalie Bramwell, known as ‘Tawney Owl’ to the girls in 7th Kenilworth Brownies, was given the award by Kenilworth District Commissioner, Tracy McNamara.

Natalie said: “I was quite overwhelmed with the trouble everyone had gone to keep it a secret to surprise me. It was a very proud moment and one that I will treasure.”

“It means a lot to have recognition for the time given in volunteering even though serving the community at 7th Kenilworth has been a real pleasure over the last 20 years.

“To see the girls flourish and grow in confidence is a real joy that I cherish.”

Her sister-in-law and the pack’s ‘Brown Owl’, Rachael, said: “I couldn’t run the pack without Natalie. The girls all adore her and we have a lot of fun and laughs along the way.”
