Guide Dogs open day to celebrate 75 years in Leamington

Guide Dogs will celebrate having been in Leamington for 75 years at its annual open day and car boot sale at its training centre on Saturday July 9.

Guide Dogs first opened its doors at Edmondscote Manor, in Warwick New Road, in 1941.

The centre now has the support of more than 700 volunteers and over the years around 30,000 guide dog and owner partnerships have been created through the centre.

The event will be opened by Warwick and Leamington MP Chris White and will include dog displays, children’s entertainment, stalls, refreshments and more.
