Fun for all tastes during half term

Horrible Histories attractions, Elizabethan adventures, singing along to Grease and making an animation are among the activities in which children can take part in south Warwickshire this half term (May 28 to June 5).

At Warwick Castle, visitors can watch live Horrible Histories shows and find their way through a Horrible Histories maze, learn sword skills, listen to Princess tales and watch the Mighty Trebuchet fire. For details, visit

Queen Elizabeth I is being celebrated at Kenilworth Castle with an Elizabethan weekend from May 28 to 29 - with music, falconry displays and other entertainment - and Elizabethan games throughout the week. Find out more at

The British Motor Museum has teamed up with Aardman Animation Ltd to enable visitors to make their own animation featuring their own model car. There will also be family trails through the museum. Full details at

On Thursday June 2, Hill Close Gardens in Warwick is holding a workshop where children can learn more about the creatures that live there, while there are also arts and crafts sessions for under-8s on the second Wednesday of each month. Visit
