Leamington’s community wood, Foundry Wood, will remain open over the Christmas holidays.

People can make use of the outdoor space every day between 10am and dusk - and the next group activity taking place is Frozen Fun tomorrow (Sunday December 13). Children are invited to dress up as their favourite character from the hit film and join a snowflake and icicle trail through the woodland.

They can also take part in a Frozen-themed reycled craft activity and then warm up with hot chocolate and a gingerbread man.

The event will take place from 11am to 12pm and costs £3 per child and £5 per family. To book, email

The Friends of Foundry Wood are planning to continue to organise popular regular activities, such as pizza-making and Forest Schools, alongside heritage events and nationwide bird and butterfly counts. There will also be ecotherapy sessions and toddler groups, but the Friends are also hoping to run more art and craft workshops and are inviting anyone with ideas or those who would like to run a group to contact them via the website at
