Nobody was hurt in the incident, and pupils were returned to lessons within the afternoon.

A spokesperson from Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Upon arrival crews confirmed that there was a fire involving woodcutting machinery in the technology block at the school.

“This building is approximately twenty five metres by twenty five metres.

“Fifty percent of the building was smoke logged.”

Teams from Leamington and Southam attended, and remained on scene into the afternoon.
