Emergency services battled in vain to save man during medical emergency in Leamington today (Thursday).

Warwickshire Police said they were called at 2.05pm to a report of a medical emergency inside a property on St Paul's Square, Leamington.

"Sadly a man in his 50s was pronounced deceased at the scene," they said.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious, a file will be passed to the coroner."

The West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed that two ambulances, paramedic officer and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance critical care car were in attendance.
