Teenager Milan Patel, who is battling cancer, was given a sporting treat after being invited to Old Trafford to meet his idols and watch the game from a private box.

The town 14-year-old met stars, Glen Hoddle and Jamie Carragher in the Sky Sports studio as well as Gary Lineker and Phil Neville when he went to watch Manchester United take on Southampton.

All thanks to an ongoing campaign by Wardens club and coach, Paul Calver who started a support campaign when Milan was diagnosed with cancer for a third time.

Once the teenager found out a rare form of bone cancer had returned, the call to #SupportMilansThirdBattle spread on social media, leading to backing from stars including Wayne Rooney .

The Wardens Club where Milan has played since he was at primary school, sold wristbands and drummed up support to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Milan and his family were treated to the star-studded day out by sporting agents who had seen the campaign.

The day included Michelin Star food in a private box at the stadium and chance to meet some of the stars off the pitch.
