The beauty of Kenilworth is highlighted in first published book by artist and photographer
“While people are making the most of our beautiful country and taking staycations, we are so lucky to live in Warwickshire and have this amazing history and countryside all around us” she said
A Kenilworth artist and photographer, who has recently been taking doorstep portraits to raise money for the NHS during lockdown, is set to launch her first Kenilworth picture book.
Natalie Thurman, who lives in Kenilworth with her husband, two young daughters, cat and dog, has released her first published book called Kenilworth in Pictures, which is a photo edited picture book now available in The Tree House Bookshop and Kenilworth Books.
She said: “While people are making the most of our beautiful country and taking staycations, we are so lucky to live in Warwickshire and have this amazing history and countryside all around us.”
“I was inspired to put this picture book together, as I am so fortunate to live in this beautiful town and during lockdown it has been an absolute blessing to be in this wonderful location.
"Kenilworth Castle and Abbey Fields are just breath-taking and I never tire of taking photos of the castle.
"I love being part of the Kenilworth community and take pride in having all of these scenes right on my doorstep.”
“Both Kenilworth bookstores have been extremely supportive and encouraging of this book.”
Natalie plans to release another Kenilworth in Pictures book with more images taken during lockdown and further Warwickshire picture books.
She is also working on her first children’s books, which will be available later this year.
