A Burgundian Ritual features music from the 12th to 15th centuries in troubadour songs, motets and rondeaux, with movements of the Missa Caput interspersed throughout the programme.

Richard Phillips, organiser of the concert: “One has to emphasise that, although we are talking about music written over five hundred years ago, it travelled all over Europe.

“There is no better setting in Warwickshire than St Mary’s Church for medieval music and it is significant that the church itself had some notable composers working in it during the 15th century. This concert will make a glorious end to a season that has covered nearly six hundred years of music performed by leading soloists and groups.”
