Latest figures show how many people sadly died due to Covid in February - with breakdowns for all the Kenilworth neighbourhoods

A further six people have died due to Covid-19 in Kenilworth during February.
That figure is broadly the same as January, which recorded five deaths.

Hide AdThat means about 24 per cent of all Covid deaths in Kenilworth happened during January and February.
In total, 46 people have now died in the town since the beginning of the pandemic.
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has complied the data, covering February 2021 and all the way to the start of the pandemic last year.
They state that the deaths they have recorded are where COVID-19 was the underlying cause of death.

Hide AdThis means, of course, that many thousands of people recovered from the virus. Many had little or no symptoms - but unfortunately there are no figures for these specific categories.

Also, the rural areas saw a big drop in deaths, with some villages not recording any deaths in February (see figures below).
