Two young entrepreneurs from Kenilworth have donated hand sanitiser for people at the Warwick District Foodbank.

Andy Bower at the foodbank said he was delighted to receive 50 bottles of protection for both the staff and customers.

The donation came from Ciara and Seanna Hamill who set up their own hand sanitiser business, SanHanzUK.

As we have previously reported, the sisters started the social enterprise business when they set about trying to source hand sanitiser to help their mum but discovered inflated prices and dubious products.

Since then they have supplied almost 2,000 bottles of hand sanitiser free of charge to frontline workers, local schools, care homes, charities and foodbanks.

Ciara and Seanna Hamill said: “We know that foodbanks are under intense pressure as the economic fallout of Covid takes hold.

"So now is the time to support our local foodbank - instead of spending on PPE we are pleased to gift the Warwick District Foodbank as it’s one less financial demand upon them.”
