Legally Blonde The Musical is based on the much-loved 2001 film. It follows the story of blonde Sorority President, Elle Woods, who, with her beloved pooch Bruiser in tow, is on a mission to find the guy who dumped her for someone “more serious”.

She finds Warner Huntington III at Harvard Law School. To everyone’s surprise, Elle enrols at Harvard and, after discovering how the law can be used to help others, she uses her new-found skills to defend fitness guru Brooke Wyndham in a murder trial. Few have faith in Elle – but the audience will discover whether she can defy the odds.

The fun, upbeat musical about self-discovery is directed by Stephen Duckham, with musical direction by Matt Flint and choreography by Aaron Gibson.

Matt said: “Legally Blonde is a show like no other I’ve worked on – the music is infectious and the cast and production team have embraced it in a way that I’ve not seen before.

“I think that everyone involved senses this could be a really special production and as a result are giving everything they can to realise that.”

Nikki Claire Cross, who plays Elle, said: “In all my years of performing I have never played such a demanding and challenging role but I am hugely excited and grateful for the opportunity.”

Hannah Hampson, who plays Brooke Wyndham, said: “I have always been a fan of the film but the musical is at least three times funnier with double the energy.

“It’s rare that a show has so many brilliant female roles, it’s been fantastic seeing people give their all to these larger than life characters.”

The show runs from Tuesday April 4 to Saturday April 8. Call 425507 to book.
