The recent poor weather may have stymied Kenilworth’s Midlands Two West (South) promotion challenge, but the club are still celebrating after being awarded Ruck & Maul’s Team of the Month for December.

The monthly magazine programme for BBC Coventry & Warwickshire made their choice on the back of an 11-match winning run which has lifted the Glasshouse Lane side to joint top of their league alongside Old Laurentians, who they beat along the way.

In addition, Kenilworth are in the final regional stages of the National Intermediate Cup which concludes with a showpiece final at Twickenham.

Director of rugby Rich Gibson will receive the award on behalf of the club on the next edition of the programme on Monday February 18.
