King, who started out at the Harbury Lane-based circuit in 2006, has since progressed through the ranks, racing in the GP2 Series last year for Racing Engineering.

And, after a quick warm-up, the 21-year-old completed 101 laps in the designated 30 minutes, becoming the first driver to complete the challenge since the introduction of the latest fleet of BIZ karts in December.

He also set a new lap record of 17.569 seconds.
