Faced with a complete rebuilding job at Racing Club Warwick, manager Curly O’Callaghan has decided to kick off pre-season training next Thursday (7pm).
O’Callaghan is hoping to get more than 30 players down to Hampton Road after a hectic few weeks following his appointment at Racing Club.
“I’m starting from scratch so we’ve got to get back early,” said O’Callaghan.
“I’ve spoken to a few lads from the Southern League and a few from the Midland Alliance and the rest will be local lads.
“I’ve had plenty of promises so hopefully they’ll come down - it’s been a busy few weeks.”
O’Callaghan is also close to revealing Racers’ pre-season campaign, with a match against Leamington expected to be the highlight.
Fixtures against Rugby, Stratford Town, Redditch United and Kenilworth Town are also close to being finalised.
