Rain cut the Birmingham Premier Division contest to 37 overs per side and another downpour forced an early tea.

Having been put in, Moseley reached 67-1 without any undue alarm despite ten superb overs from Jason Young (0 for 19). The introduction of Sitanshu Kotak and Anthony Wilkinson charged all that.

In Wilkinson's first over Keith Bell was caught by wicket-keeper Eian Marillier for 24 and five overs later with the score only slowly progressing to 74, Kotak claimed his first victim, David Powles caught at first slip by Stephen Byng for 35.

Kotak (5-16) and Wilkinson (4-11) destroyed the remaining batting and Moseley were all out for 111, the last nine wickets falling for 44 runs.

Further showers resulted in the Wardens overs being reduced to 29 and a target of 88 for the winning draw being set.

They lost both Byng and Kotak for 14, before James Ord (26) and Scott Stenning (10) steadied the ship. However the introduction of Sharkie Hussain into the attack stopped the innings in its tracks, claiming thee in his first two overs for only four runs as Wardens were reduced to 47-5.

Hussain produced a man of the match 6-26, but not before Jason Young (17) and Anthony Wilkinson (22) had taken the Wardens to 82.

In the next over Wilkinson was caught by Shabir off Mickey Bell and in Hussian's last over he claimed the wickets of Henderson and Wood, reducing Wardens to 86-9.

The final over was bowled by Mickey Bell to Eian Marillier who secured the winning draw off the second ball with a four to fine leg.

But the drama was not over, needing to play out the final four balls to ensure the winning draw, the umpire lost count and seven were bowled rather than six.
