Three second-half goals kept Brakes on the heels of leaders Evesham at the New Windmill on Saturday.
Liam Reynolds, Josh Blake and Guy Sanders all scored to reclaim second place in Southern League Division One Midlands from Sutton Coldfield, who had won at Rothwell on Friday.

In a much-changed side midfielder Scott Hadland made his debut after signing from Premier Division Brackley Town. Ben Mackey, Robbie Beard and Adam Cooper were all unavailable.

Both sides were committed to attack. The Greenbacks' Jamie Williams had the first shot on target, which Richard Morris gathered easily.
At the other end James Husband hit the crossbar from Justin Marsden's pass and Jamie Towers has a shot deflected away.

Towers was heavily involved during the first half, and his corner kick led to debutant Scott Hadland striking the Bedworth bar for a second time from close range.

Guy Sanders could well have blamed the swirling wind for a free kick that was not up to his usual standards as the first half drew to a close.

Meanwhile Morris bravely came off his line to claim a dangerous cross from Neil Lazarus.

Jason Cadden made a match-changing substitution early in the second half, replacing Stuart Herlihy with Liam Reynolds. Within minutes he opened the scoring, side-footing home firmly from a Towers corner.

Bedworth seemed shaken by an injury to Luke Baker following a 50-50 challenge with Reynolds and they went further behind as the game moved into the final quarter.

The ball came off Blake and crossed the line after he and Towers had combined to cause trouble for the Greenbacks.

Former Bedworth defender Sanders put the seal on the game with a thumping header from another Towers corner three minutes from time.

Leamington: Richard Morris, Jamie Towers, Ryan Parisi, Guy Sanders, Martin Hier, Stuart Herlihy (Liam Reynolds, 50), Scott Hadland, James Husband, Justin Marsden (Arron Parkinson, 89), Josh Blake, Marcus Jackson. Subs not used: Craig Dutton, Morton Titterton, Andy Harper (gk). Att 611
