As a seasoned non-league football follower of too many years to mention, I am sorry to say that a visit to the New Windmill is becoming a grind.
Not because of the football or the club, but because of the continued berating by the supporters of the referees and assistants.

Even the programme last Tuesday night carried a report on the same subject. No matter where you stand at the ground this is non-abating and is an irritant.

Yes the officials make mistakes, yes this may affect the game, but they are only human and judge an incident in the split second they see it.

We must remember that without referees there is no game. Richard Holloway, Leamington.

n Are Brakes fans at particular fault here? Are all supporters as bad these days? Or is criticism of officials simply part of the game?

Readers’ views on this subject would be welcomed. Sports editor.
