Woman severely injured in three-car crash in Warwickshire

A woman was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a three-car crash between Marton and Long Itchington on Tuesday.
The accident happened on the A423 between Marton and Long Itchington shortly before 5.15pm.

Two of the three cars were badly damaged and firefighters had to cut one woman free.

She is believed to be in her 60s and was taken by air ambulance to University Hospital, Coventry suffering from pelvic, chest, abdominal and head injuries and rushed to surgery.

A man in his 40s who had been driving the other badly damaged car was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

A woman driving a third car which was also involved was also treated at the scene.
