A Whitnash couple were annoyed enough when one of Sita UK's new recycling vans crashed into their parked car.
But they were left gobsmacked at the driver's one-word response - "tired".

Paul and Mary Yurkwich, of Barford Approach, were startled when builders working across the road knocked on their door to tell them a Sita recycling van had reversed into their car last Thursday morning.

Mr Yurkwich said: "He had four metres either side so I asked him what's up and he said 'tired'.

"I feel very stressed about it - the car is driveable but it's very inconvenient to have to get it fixed."

Mrs Yurkwich added: "They should be more careful - there was not even anyone guiding the driver."

A Sita spokesperson said: "We have admitted responsibility for the accident and the matter is now being dealt with by our insurers. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to Mr and Mrs Yurkwich."
