Woman rescued from canal in Warwick

A woman was rescued by fire crews after she fell into the canal by Chandley Wharf, Warwick, yesterday afternoon (Friday February 24).

Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service was called out at around 4.15pm, and the water rescue team from Rugby and a crew from Leamington were sent.

She was rescued by fire crews using a reach rescue pole and water rescue kit.

She was placed in the care of West Midlands Ambulance Service at around 4.50pm.
