There are two competitions: Years 7 and 8 compete for the Junior Cup, donated by Nuala Scarisbrick, and Years 9 and 10 compete for the Senior Cup, donated by Canon Edward Stewart. Nuala and May Shaker from the Rotary Club were the judges.

The winner of the Junior Cup was Quincy Sproul from Year 8, who spoke about “Luck”. Quincy has never competed in this competition before and his maturity and control were impressive for such a young student.

The Senior Cup was won by Jude Radley with his speech on “The Internet: The Great Distraction”.

This was Jude’s second win in the competition.
