A KEEN fashion designer has made her stamp on the textile world after being chosen to display her latest creations at a major show in Leeds as part of Yorkshire Wool Week.
Kate Duckworth was chosenf or the show after being inspired by leading British textile manufacturer Hainsworth for her new collection.
The 22-year-old who has just graduated from Huddersfield University, used Hainsworth’s famous scarlet and black Doeskin, fabric traditionally used to make a military mess dress which is now on display at the Leeds Industrial Museum.
Kate, who designed and created a red sculptured skirt and leather military jacket with white oversized cuffs, said her clothes embodied the influence and culture of Hainsworth.
