Three burglaries could be linked

POLICE are investigating three burglaries which occurred in close proximity to each other yesterday (Wednesday) and are appealing for help to catch the offenders.

Two properties in Kenilworth Road, Leamington, were entered between 10am and 5pm after offenders smashed windows at the rear.

It is believed that they may have been disturbed by the alarm at one property as nothing was stolen.

The offenders are believed to have made their escape by jumping over a fence.

Jewellery and a digital camera were stolen from the other address.

The third offence took place at a flat in Binswood Avenue between 9am and 8pm.

The intruders carried an untidy search of the property but did not steal anything.

Officers believe the three incidents may be linked and would like to hear from anyone who noticed any suspicious activity near the premises at the relevant times.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the burglary team at Leamington Spa on 101 or 415000 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Householders are being reminded to be vigilant with their security measures when they are away from their property.

The police have said it is important to lock doors and windows and ensure that valuables, including car keys, are not easily visible.

Fitting a burglar alarm is also recommended.
