Three arrested in Leamington drugs raid

THREE people have been arrested following a drugs raid in Leamington yesterday (Thursday).

Police officers and trained dogs entered a property in St George’s Road and detained three men while they searched the premises.

They found a quantity of cannabis, some cash and drugs equipment. One of the men, aged 25, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to supply and released on bail, while the other two, aged 19 and 22, were arrested and then cautioned for possession of cannabis.

The warrant was carried out in Leamington’s ‘priority policing area’ - which means it is somewhere where police think crime is more likely to occur and are focussing their efforts to prevent it.

Sergeant Tim Sharp, who leads Leamington’s priority policing area team, said “Today’s warrant is yet another example of great team work by the police officers involved and shows our commitment to reducing crime.”
