Smoke detectors save Whitnash people from fire

SMOKE detectors alerted two Whitnash residents to a fire in their home in the early hours of this morning.

Two fire engines from Leamington rushed to the house in Home Farm Crescent just after 4am and an ambulance was also called to treat the people, who were suffering from mild smoke inhalation.

It took the crews just under an hour to extinguish the fire.
