Police appeal for key witness after Wellesbourne death

POLICE investigating a fatal accident on a garage forecourt in Wellesbourne last month are appealing to trace a man they believe may be a witness.

The accident happened on Wednesday September 12 at around 6.20pm, when an 88-year-old man who was believed to have taken shelter from heavy rain under the canopy of the Shell Garage in Warwick Road was in collision with a green Mitsubishi 4X4 vehicle.

Officers investigating the accident are keen to speak to any witnesses who have not yet come forward, particularly a man who spoke to the driver of the 4X4 shortly after the collision.

He, or anyone else with information, should call Sgt Richard Toms in the roads major investigations unit on 415415.
