No interest in town planning

A COMMUNITY planning forum was cancelled after complete lack of interest from residents.

Thursday’s meeting offered the chance for people to speak to Warwick District Council officers about town planning issues.

But when not a single agenda item was put forward for discussion the evening was cancelled.

Cllr Michael Coker, town planning chair, said it was a “real worry” that people were not getting involved but hopes there will be more interest when the draft plan for the town’s future is released.

“We simply had no interest from the public and there is no point holding it for councillors,” he said.

“We are working on the draft plan and will be asking residents for feed back, so we hope for more involvement when the time comes.”
