Last chance on HS2 views

THERE are just days left to have your say on a HS2 property consultation to ensure the best deal for compensation packages.

Anyone living along the route of the proposed rail proposed rail route has until January 31 to submit a response to HS2 Ltd’s consultation on property compensation and safeguarding.

Once the consultation closes, responses will be analysed. Final compensation package measures are expected to be announced by transport ministers in the spring.

Current proposals include for the government to buy up homes within 60 metres of the track for unblighted market value, and consider buying homes up to 120 metres.

Homes further out would be able to apply for hardship funds. Visit highspeedrail.dft.gov.uk/ to have your say.
